Maternity Photography is one of my biggest passions. I truly believe that every woman should have beautiful portraits of her pregnancy, to not only look back on when your child has grown, but also to share with them. My own children love to see photos of my pregnant belly and I bet yours will too.

Pregnancy is such an exciting time for your family, I am blessed to be welcomed into your bubble for a short while to celebrate it.

There is no right or wrong way to document your pregnancy. We will work together to ensure you have gorgeous maternity images that you will treasure forever, and your baby will be able to look back on for years to come.

You will leave my studio feeling like a queen!

Maternity photography is for all women, of all sizes, and our studio has maternity dresses, accessories and silks to flatter all body types. Whether your style is bold or modest we will create a stunning gallery of images to showcase your bump in tasteful portraits you will be proud of.

Before your maternity photoshoot

If you are unsure what sort of maternity photography you would like, I am always happy to chat things through before you book.

I know not everyone feels comfortable or confident in front of the camera, but please don’t worry! I am exactly the same, in fact I’m probably the worst model ever. Despite this, I had two maternity photoshoots when pregnant with my youngest, and they are some of my most treasured images.

If you would like to make the experience truly special and pampering you can opt to have your make up done professionally. Justyna is fantastic at making you feel like the best version of yourself, not like anyone else. You can see her website here to see examples of her work.

These photos don’t have to be for anyone else – they are for you. But if you do choose to display them at home, I guarantee that your child will love seeing themselves as a bump. My youngest is now 8 years old and still loves to point out that he was in my belly in my maternity photos.

Can siblings be part of the maternity photoshoot?

If you have older children, then they are very welcome to join in the photoshoot.

This can involve getting dressed up in a beautiful gown or keeping it much more simple, in your usual family style.

Unsure which you would prefer? Just drop me a message and we can chat over what would work best with your children, based on their age and personality.

 

Can my partner come to the maternity photoshoot?

Yes of course. Partners are very welcome to take part in your maternity photoshoot. After all this is an exciting time for both of you.

I am happy to help with clothing choices for your partner, so that they feel comfortable.

If your partner is female, they are also welcome to utilise the studio wardrobe if they wish.

 

 

What should I wear for my maternity photoshoot?

Choose from my selection of maternity gowns, keep it casual in your own clothing or bare that beautiful bump for those gorgeous Vanity Fair style glamour shots!

The studio wardrobe has a growing collection of dress options to choose from, a stunning selection of fabrics and even crowns for those of you who want to look AND feel like a queen!

After your maternity photoshoot

We will schedule your viewing & ordering appointment to take place around a week after your maternity photoshoot.

All of your images will be expertly retouched for viewing and displayed in a slideshow.

We will work together to create the perfect package to suit your home and budget. You can see examples of our wall art options here.

Your digital images will be available to you on the same day as your appointment.

Printed products will be shipped directly to your home or if you prefer we can have them delivered to the studio for you to collect at your convenience.

When is best for maternity photography?

Most maternity phtographers recommend to do this kind of session when you are around 30-34 weeks. However if you are already past this please do not worry. Please feel free to get in touch at any stage of your pregnancy.

We will chat over a cuppa and I will make you feel utterly fantastic! If you are expecting twins/multiples I typically recommend we schedule your maternity photoshoot earlier in your pregnancy. I recommend between 24-30 weeks so you are as mobile and comfortable as possible for your materity photoshoot experience.

 

Do I need to bring anything?

Your make up bag is great to bring along for touch ups and changing your look to suit different outfits. I will provide nipple covers for you to use (and keep!) so no need to bring anything unless you have a dress/outfit/prop you want to incorporate into your images. A nude coloured thong is helpful if you are unsure how much ski you want to show 😉

To book your maternity photoshoot your session fee is payable at the time of booking.  You will choose your preferred collection when you return to the studio to view your gallery of maternity portraits.

After booking your maternity photoshoot you will receive the following:

  • Session guide to help you prepare for your maternity photoshoot
  • Access to my client closet and styling advice via phone or zoom call (optional)

After your maternity photoshoot we will schedule your return visit to view your edited images. In person viewing & ordering appointment with refreshments and wall art deisgn service.

I work with one of the best professional only print labs in the country. They offer gallery grade wall art products so that you can enjoy your pregnancy portraits for years to come. Your child will love to see themselves as a bump!

If you have a specific space you would like to display your images in we will work together to find the perfect piece for your home. I have invested in specialist software that allows you to view your images on your own walls so that you can be confident in choosing the best size and style frames for your home.
