They are only this little for such a little while, how will you remember?

My clients call me the baby whisperer, when you book me to photograph your newborn you can relax knowing you and your beautiful baby are in expert hands and will receive images you will treasure for a lifetime!

Appointed as Ambassador for the Baby and Newborn Photography Association for the third consecutive year in 2017.

I have over 5 years experience as a newborn specialist. I have undertaken expert training in the safe posing and handling of babies as well as being a Mummy myself to two beautiful boys. By booking your newborn photoshoot with Beautiful Bairns you are putting your child in the hands of a professional who will work in a baby centred way, putting the comfort and safety of your baby first at all times.

As a mum myself I understand how hugely daunting it can be to even leave the house in those first few weeks, never mind handing over your precious newborn baby to a stranger. With this in mind I have a very relaxed way of working and will ensure you get plenty of cuddles with your baby throughout the session. Parents are welcome to take photos during the session, I’ve even been on Facebook live a few times so grandparents can watch from afar!

Older siblings are always welcome to join the newborn photoshoot as I know myself how much I adore the photos of my two boys together and how important they were to capture. Older brothers and sisters will be made to feel very special and important without any pressure to “perform”. I even have a stunt bear to demonstrate how to pose with their new baby brother or sister as well as a few special tricks to ensure a happy experience for all the family.

The Beautiful Bairns studio is located in my home so you can relax knowing I have all home comforts for you to enjoy! Log in to the wifi, enjoy a cup of tea (while its still hot!) sit back on the sofa and watch while I soothe and position your baby into beautiful poses for gorgeous images you will love forever.

For breastfeeding mums I have a breastfeeding cover supplied by Infinite Mommy should you want a little privacy for feeding, but I have seen hundreds of mums feeding so please don’t feel you need to cover up! For bottle fed babies I have a perfect prep machine that you are welcome to use. I have a supply of extra nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, even nipple covers and maternity pads! So you can relax knowing I have thought of everything and all you need to do is relax and enjoy the experience.

Recently had both maternity and newborn photo sessions with Rachael and on both occasions found the whole experience not only enjoyable but relaxing. One of Rachael’s key skills is making you feel at ease and comfortable both for myself and my precious family, not something that is always easy to do however Rachael is a natural at this and obviously comes easy given her friendly relaxed personality and upmost professionalism!

Her experience and obvious knowledge of newborns was evident in how she conducted the session and handled my wee one whilst getting the best out of my 3 year toddler who is normally camera shy, the result being absolutely fantastic photos, creating and catching memories that will last forever.

The type of shots Rachael created are not bog standard, she adds her individual photographic flair and at all times ensures that our requirements were being not only met but exceeded!

Overall in summary I would wholeheartedly recommend Rachael, and we look forward to future sessions, capturing our girls as the blossom into young ladies.
